Mark came to Life Navigators after his older sister Debby suddenly passed away. Losing both of his parents at a young age, and now his sister, Mark had few connections to our community. That’s when Mark was introduced to Life Navigators.
Life Navigators program staff worked with Mark to assess his short-term needs and plan for his future. This planning process included reviewing his inheritance and sharing with Mark that it could negatively impact his public benefits. That’s when Life Navigators assisted Mark in establishing a Life Navigators Trust II – Pooled Trust.
Through Life Navigators services, Mark received the training and support to learn new skills. He now enjoys riding the bus, grocery shopping and paying his bills. Using his trust to pay for moving expenses, new furniture and the cable bill, Mark is living independently and thriving in his new apartment.
