Developing Independent Living Skills – Meet Mary Kate

Meet Mary Kate. Mary Kate is a member of our Guardianship Program and loves attending our community outings. She enjoys watching old shows and listening to her walk-man. She especially loves animals and interacting with the therapy dog that visits her home.

Mary Kate is retiring this month after many years of employment at Goodwill where she did assembly work and other tasks. Her involvement in daytime programming has allowed her to develop independent living skills and strengthen her leadership abilities in our community.

Mary Kate appreciates her Life Navigators program coordinator, Lynn, who has been a part of her life for over nine years. She looks forward to their quality time together during Lynn’s monthly visits to her group home.
