Paul Lukezich has been connected for many years and is a great friend of Life Navigators. He started attending our support group for families when his boys, David and Scott, were diagnosed. His family was featured in A Change of Plans, a resource booklet put together in the early years of Life Navigators, given to families with disabilities at the hospital to provide resources and support. Paul also gave back by serving on our board for several years and is a long-time supporter of our work.
“At the beginning, Life Navigators and their support group for families gave me comfort knowing that I wasn’t alone.” -Paul
Paul’s sons were diagnosed with an X chromosome disorder at 3 and 1. They were involved in our Family Support Group for many years. When David and Scott reached adulthood, they lived together for 18 years. David is now in Jefferson and loves his Adult Family Home. Scott lives in Fort Atkinson and participates in a day program at St. Coletta in Jefferson, recently celebrating 20 years.
Paul wanted to create a plan for his sons, so he established Live Navigators Trusts to provide for their financial and long-term needs. Paul is grateful for the peace of mind the Trusts provide their family.
Paul thought of other families by including us in his own Planned Giving while also designating us as a Remainder Beneficiary to David and Scott’s Trusts. He stays involved by supporting us annually and attending our events. His thoughtfulness will have a lasting impact to create bright futures.
